From Salzburg
Take the Salzkammergutbundesstrasse toward Graz, passing through Bad Ischl on the way to Bad Aussee. From there, continue for about 5 km to Altaussee. 

Travel time: approx. 1 hour

From Vienna or Linz:
Take the A1 toward Salzburg to the Regau exit. From there, drive through Gmunden and Bad Ischl to Bad Aussee. From there, it’s about 5 km to Altaussee. 

Travel time: approx. 3 hours

From Graz
Via Stainach Irdning toward Bad Aussee, and from there about 5 km to Altaussee.

Travel time: approx. 1,5 hours

From Germany
Munich–Salzburg Highway, Westautobahn: Exit Thalgau, Bad Ischl, Bad Aussee – Altaussee 


Take the Berlin–Nuremberg–Passau or Berlin–Hof–Regensburg–Passau highway, continue toward Linz but only as far as the Wels exit, then take the A1 toward Salzburg until the Regau exit – Bad Ischl, Bad Aussee, Altaussee.
